I had the AFP blood test today. The test checks for certain birth defects like down syndrome and spina bifida. We should know the results of that in 10 days. No news from the doctor means good news! The doctor also listened to the baby's heartbeat (in the 140s). He said all the static I heard while listening to the heartbeat was the baby moving around. I haven't noticed any movement yet, though. I should start to feel the baby moving within the next couple weeks.
July 30th is the BIG day. We'll get to find out whether we're having a boy or girl :)
Welcome to the blogoshpere! I'm so glad we'll be able to follow your family's journey online. And I love hearing all the details about the pregnancy, seeing those fuzzy ulrasound blobs brings back fond memories of my pregnancies!
ReplyDeleteTake care and I look forward to reading more posts!
Love, Margaret
PS - how about a photo of Mom-to-be - are you showing yet?!
I'm so glad you've started a blog. It is wonderful to see the ultrasound photos and to be able to follow you along this adventure. I agree with Margaret, let us see a photo of you at this point. It will be fun to track your growth as well. How exciting that you find out the sex next week!
