First shots :(

Ryu had his two-month shots on Wednesday. Sorry, no pictures or video of that! He had a combo shot in his right thigh (Polio, Hep B, DTaP), two shots in his left thigh (pneuomococcal conjugate and Hib) and an oral vaccine (Rotavirus) - yikes! He cried of course, but calmed down fairly quickly. We gave him Tylenol the rest of Wednesday and Thursday as recommended by his doctor in case he got a fever. He's done with shots until his 4-month visit.

He's 10lbs 1oz now and 23 1/4 in (below average for weight and above average for height). The doctor was happy with this and said this is much better than the other way around!

Here he is during happier times (before his doctor's visit)

A BIG yawn

Ready to eat after his doctor's visit

  1. I remember those shot visits! It's so hard to watch them in pain. And, in case you're wondering, they still cry when they get shots many years later! I was surprised this year when Anthony chose the flu shot instead of the nasal mist for his vaccine! Ryu is looking so cute and alert. Is he trying to roll over yet? Are you back to work Megan?

  2. Poor baby. But its good he doesn't have to worry about that for another few months. Emily
