Grand Caverns

Today was my work's annual employee fun day at Grand Caverns Park. They had plenty of food, bouncy-houses, a pool, mini-golf, train rides, and tours of the caverns, of course. We spent about 3 hours there and Ryu had a great time.

Here he is swinging (sorry about the loud wind!)

And going down the slide...though not exactly facing forward! (again, it must have been pretty windy today)

He wasn't too sure about going in the bouncy-houses, but he enjoyed watching all the bigger kids from the outside. That's ok...we didn't want him to get run over by all the big kids. Maybe next time he'll be ready.

While Ryu liked riding the train, he liked it better when he was off it and could see it coming. The "conductor" blew the horn whenever he saw Ryu watching the train go by. That made him smile and giggle.

We didn't take Ryu into the caverns (what 18 month old has patience for an hour-long tour?). And it would be tough to find him if he decided to go wandering ;) We did spend some time in the caverns' gift shop and Ryu did some "driving" just outside the gift shop/registration area.

Needless to say, he slept very well on the ride home!
