I'm back!

Shortly after my last post Ryu started crawling, pulling himself to stand and then walking while holding onto things (videos to come!). This explains my lack of posting for about 2 months!

Here's a summary of the goings on for the past couple months.

We spent a day visiting with family in Staunton in mid-July. Ryu was very excited to have so many playmates and so many toy options. And, for some reason, he really liked his great-uncle's shoes/feet!

Here he is with his second cousins Anthony, Maggie, Ingrid and Michael.

Ryu went to his first birthday party - a neighbor's daughter turned 7 at the end of July. He enjoyed playing in the kiddie pool, and watching the big kids slip n' slide and jump on the trampoline. He lasted about 1 1/2 hours and then pooped out.

 

And some of the everyday stuff:

 

He's very curious when it to comes to the chores I do around the house. He especially loves the vacuum cleaner. If I'm vacuuming, he's there! On this occasion, he wanted to go for a ride.

 

 

 

He's frequently in the kitchen and discovered how much fun a large bottle of soy sauce can be! His new favorite entertainment in the kitchen is the dishwasher.

 

Now entering the ring...Ryu! Ok - so he's not exactly menacing. But his cuteness will distract his opponent!
