Happy Easter! John and I took the boys to the JMU Easter Egg Hunt this week. Besides the usual plastic eggs filled with candy, the students also have arts/crafts set-up for the kids. There was even a real Easter bunny! Ryu wouldn't wear the bunny ears the students were handing out, so Kenji was stuck with them. We were lucky to have a nice, though very breezy, day.
Kenji had his 9-month check-up on the 18th. The doctor is happy with how he's growing (17 lb 14 oz, and 27 1/2 in). Thankfully, there were no shots this time. Kenji has been crawling all over the place since February, and has been pulling himself to stand.
The boys are starting to play together - very cute. They have a bathtub game: While Ryu is in the tub, he likes to "spray" water over Kenji who's standing up just outside the tub. I need to get this on video!
And the all-time favorite: put the blanket over Kenji's head and watch him wiggle all around while both boys laugh.
Ryu has been saying more words. Some are very clear ( cheese, egg, up ), some are partial words ( "ock" for sock and clock; "uck" for truck). He even makes attempts at broccoli and necklace (ocLI? and nGLI?) He's just recently picked up on "ok" and "uhoh" He'll also copy some of the letters and numbers while watching Sesame Street. Something else to get on video...
And just a couple cute pictures.
Mommy's little cleaning helper.
And Ryu going for a cruise, and hanging out with his raccoon, Ricky.
