Both boys are loving the Christmas decorations around the house. Ryu's a big fan of the Christmas card loops and the tree. Can you see what's out of place in this picture?
I'm not so sure he placed it there, or if he had some assistance from Daddy. I've also discovered a block and truck in the tree. A few days ago he figured out he could drag a chair from the kitchen over to the tree to get closer to the fancy ornaments at the top (yikes!). Kenji loves a musical decoration (a dog, penguin and a snowman singing a holiday tune and jiggling their bells).

Kenji has been sitting up fairly well on his own. If he tips over, he just rolls onto his back or tummy and moves around to get to his toys. And he's been eating solids! Here he is eating some kind of pumpkin or carrot dish.
And spending time in one of his favorite hangouts: the ExerSaucer.
Kenji absolutely loves to watch Ryu splash in the bathtub. He "stands" just outside the tub and bounces up and down and giggles.

Both boys had their check-ups earlier this week. Ryu was already fussing when the nurse wanted to weigh/measure him, so you can imagine how bad it was by the time she got to his Hep A shot and when she took a sample of blood for a lead test! Kenji was clueless, of course, of the pain to come with his shots. Ryu is 27 lbs and 34 1/2" and Kenji is 15 lbs and 26",
And just a funny lounging picture of Ryu. I was sitting next to him nursing Kenji, and thought maybe he had fallen asleep in this position.
